Social housing in Mataró

The volumetry proposed by the planning is broken into three volumes that rest on a plinth. 16 houses are distributed through the three volumes, that formally dialogue with the scale and grain of the Cirera neighborhood. The plinth, with a materiality and urban feel, houses the new civic center of the neighborhood. Its façade is set back to generate 3 small squares: expansions of the public space in front of the entrances. Stairs and walkways are located in a large backyard, open to a garden.
