Barcelona | Finalist in competition 2020
The Martorell Museum was the first museum in the city: it was an ancient scientific cabinet located in the Ciutadella Park. The remodelling proposal generates a public passage through the central body of the building, offering a new access to the park. The new core of communications of the building is located here. On either side we find the naves, that were rehabilitated, highlighting their spaciousness. The central void is emphasized by removing the false ceiling, rebuilding the walkways that make up the raised perimeter mezzanine.
