Green Man stage in Wales

Wales, United Kingdom | built 2017, 2018 and 2019

The decoration of two of the festival stages was inspired by the Maypoles; folk and pagan dances from southern England and Wales. It consists of dancing around a mast whilst holding colored ribbons that are woven into patterns by the dancers. The scenic elements of the production have been designed for easy assembly and disassembly. They are constructed using wooden frames that hold a fabric of satin ribbons in different colours. There is a chromatic composition, which degrades along the frame structure. Each frame has LED lights and a digital programming that generates a live light show during the performances.
