Poblenou, Barcelona | built 2025
The housing to be renovated in Poblenou consists of a ground floor apartment, a large garden, and a rear guest pavilion. The proposed new layout opens up the kitchen and places it in the center of the house as a prominent and articulating element. The new dividing walls are designed with movable parts and diagonal geometries, aiming to open up the views towards the garden and optimize the given space eliminating the original tube effect of the space. The bedroom can be completely open to the living room, blurring the classic boundaries. Noble materials are chosen to create comfort and warmth.
