Teià | Finalist in competition 2023
The volumetric proposal for the building for 16 social housing units responds to its urban environment. A broken volume is designed to fit into the small grain of the urban context and the slope of the street. The building’s entrance is located between these two volumes. The housing typologies are all corner units, featuring a spacious corner gallery-terrace that enhances the communal space. The bedrooms and kitchen open directly into the main space, avoiding service areas and hierarchies within the family layout. The goal is working with natural materials: a wooden structure and cork cladding for the façade.
